We are going to Sudan in the morning. We are excited to be visiting with some bishops and friends about how to be praying for them and how we might serve them in the coming year. January is the date set for the vote whether the north and south will seperate. Will you pray Jesus keeps His hand on that nation and lead them step by step!? We will all be traveling together Tuesday through Friday in Sudan and then will spend Saturday through Tuesday in Kampala in meetings with our teammates and church leaders there.
Also, will you pray with us as we have had a death in our neighborhood...it is the brother of a friend of ours who has died. We are struggling through some cultural issues with funerals as well as questions from our almost three year old about the wailing she is hearing! Do pray with us that Jesus helps to be a bright light for Him in the midst of such a difficult situation.
Lastly, will you pray Jesus helps us with our communication system. We have tried to send out proper email updates, but the program we are using must not be working. Pray Jesus opens the doors for those who need to be with us in prayer to hear and know how to pray...thank you!

In my wide array of cross-cultural experiences... my first African funeral was the hardest! I'm sure this isn't your first, but I'm praying for you and for this family.
