Another Kind of LIFE

I love the Psalms that talk about the Lord being glorified in His Creation.
So many of our daily realities point us to Him...even when they are also pointing quite obviously to meal time! Just a little picture diary of our menu this week...in Honor of the Creator Who Provided it ALL!!!

Our mulberry bushes are producing lots of berries these days.
The girls had been just eatting them off the bushes each afternoon...then that practice was linked by a friend to their tummy troubles...so thankful for other moms who have gone before.
Now, we are just picking them and saving them for a couple of days and making cobler and berry pie!!!
And also sharing them through our fence with our neighbors...this is Lucy sharing with Emmanuella! Her mom Gertrude is coming over with a couple of other neighbor ladies tomorrow to learn to make berry pie and have bible study and pray together!

Christopher came to visit us this week! He brought the girls eggs as a gift! Praise Jesus for yummy omlets!

Jane is AMAZING! Nine days after she gave birth to her son, she was picking beans she had planted in our garden while we were away! After she WALKED the miles (I think about four) to our house! We got to help with the picking process which was fun...harvest is a bit different here. We pulled up the whole plant which she took home to dry and then will eat most all the parts of the plant.

We enjoyed tea after SERIOUS work in the garden and before she walked home.
I offered to drive her, but she said, "Joanna, I am not weak, I can walk!"

At Bible Study this week, my dear friend Jennifer brought me mushrooms from her village! Two as big as my two children! We had a mushroom stew for dinner over rice.

The real delight came though at the initial use of the popsicle molds!!! They work! Thanks Mama Gayle for such a fun gift! ...somehow even though we're not sure how it works into God's creation...ice cold popsciles cause us to rejoice on HOT sunny African afternoons!

HALLELUJAH! PRAISE GOD FOREVER!!!
