Billy is training in Nebbi today. Will you pray with us that Jesus will go before him and make a way...that the pastors will be open to the new story from Mark 10 and that lives will be drawn toward JESUS!
Aaron and Corrie are traveling with Billy today. Pray Jesus continues to lead and guide them about the way forward and getting back to Sudan in God's timing. Pray He orders our days together as a team...we are excited to have them here!

Thanking Jesus For Two Years Of Life
Our dear friend Hope's daughter turned two on Wednesday. We celebrated with family and friends at a THANKSGIVING (a worship service to Thank Jesus for her life) in their home yesterday.

Billy was actually in Nebbi for worship yesterday and the girls and I attended the Thanksgiving with a couple of American friends that are here in Arua for the year...Alissa and Kelli. They were a huge blessing! I have no idea how you nurse one baby and keep the other baby "occupied" when a sermon is being preached in a language she doesn't fully understand! Thanks Kelli and Alissa!

We praise Jesus too for His faithfulness in going before as Andy Mills and his team of Ted and DJ led the businessmens seminars this week! Everyone seemed so excited that the teaching was excellent and they have learned much! The guys will be with individual teams and businesses today and in the afternoon tomorrow. In the morning they will leave early to drive down to the game park (2 hours south) and see some African wildlife! They will leave Arua on Wednesday for some ministry opportunities that are before them in Kampala. Thanks for coming Andy, DJ and Ted!!! The girls loved wearing their new clothes to the party too! THANK YOU!!!

PRAISE JESUS!!!
*The passport has been applied for and should be ready next week!
*The Registration of Birth Abroad has been completed!
*Lucy Mae has an official Ugandan Birth Certificate!
*We had a great time visiting friends and ministering and being ministered to while in Kampala.
*Nicholas Strong arrived safely back in the states...we miss him! Daily Elsie Jayne will look for him..."Nick! Nick! Nick!"
*We were able to meet with Joy Phillips, our WGM co-worker in Sudan and had a day to plan and pray and dream together about the work in that nation.
*The training in Nebbi went well yesterday with great questions about salvation, sanc
tification, and dicisipleship.*We have welcomed Andy Mills to Arua again for his ministry among the Christian Businessmen in our community. He has come this time with two young men, Ted and DJ who are visiting Africa for the first time. Pray Jesus works in and through all of these men in the coming week we get to share together.
*Today we welcome Aaron and Corrie Heinrich and their two girls, Haley and Eden to Arua. They will be serving alongside us for the coming month. We are thankful for their time here, but do pray with us as they truly sense they are to be in Khartoum, but are having trouble with visas.

PRAISE GOD!!!
Lucy Mae Coppedge has a legal, official, registered birth certificate!!! HALLELUJAH! PRAISE GOD FOREVER!!!
Thank you for praying. It only took two trips into town and a 12 hour period. That is nearly as miraculous as her healthy birth!
We arrived in Kampala on Friday, traveling down with some other friends from Arua. We are staying at an amazingly nice and comfortable place in the city and feel like we are on holiday!...except we still don't sleep much! :)
Saturday we visited our friends Imam and Tina and their one year old Angela. We had such a great time with them and Imam (a chef) even had made a birthday cake for Lucy Mae! It was really fun to celebrate life again with them.
Sunday we were able to worship in Kisugu Africa Gospel Church...the oldest church in the denomination WGM is working with in Uganda. We were thankful to see friends and get to share Lucy with so many who have been praying for her.
Then yesterday was our miracle day! We have been told it can take weeks to sort out the Uganda birth certificate...but Billy went yesterday morning and found a man who helped him easily through the process and told him to come back at 2p.m. to pick up the official paper. All day we prayed, not really believing that it could be that easy. At 1p.m. we called to see if he had really even begun and he confirmed we should come and pick it up in an hour! We arrived and it wasn't yet signed by the appropriate people, but Billy went and got a signature on it and that was it! We even recieved a reciept for the full amount we had paid in the morning...amazing!!! Jesus so sweetly went before us! Praise Him!
We had time then to take the girls to the pediatrician and get their immunizations as well. After that we had SO MUCH TO CELEBRATE we went out to a fun restaraunt for dinner! Five is pretty early for us for dinner, but we thought the girls would be tired from the big day anyway, we could put them to bed early. We didn't realize one of the city's downfalls is the traffic about 6p.m. So...it took us over an hour to get back to this great house...but that is ok...we had lived through our miracle day!

Today is Hero's Day, a national holiday, so we will wait until tomorrow(Wednesday) to try and find favor with the Embassy people and get a passport started for little Lucy. We will keep you posted, but thank you for praying through this process!

The Next Chapter
...And so we enter a new chapter of parenting, a new chapter of training in Nebbi, a new chapter of ministry in Sudan!!! These are exciting days!
Lucy Mae is settling into our family and we are getting used to her presence. She will be weighed tomorrow so we can be sure she has gained back her birth weight, but she seems to be eating well and as far as we can tell, the jaundice is fading. Hallelujah! Praise God forever!!!
Elsie Jayne is still loving being the big sister and now is enjoying the new priveledges she has...like throwing "taka taka" (trash/rubbish in swahili a.k.a.Lucy's diapers) away for her parents, and going on walks with one parent (so the other one can stay with sleeping Lucy and find some rest or get a moment of office work done!). She is such a joy and we can't thank Jesus enough for her as well as her new little sis!
The pastors we work with in Nebbi all came to welcome Lucy Mae the Saturday after she was born. We were thankful Jessica was still here then to help us welcome them with a meal and a great time of sharing. They were so excited to finally come to our home (we always go there) and to meet our latest addition. Jesus came and gave us the strength we all needed for the day as well as a great time of interaction with those dear friends!
Pray with us about the days ahead in Nebbi. Billy is planning to begin phase two of DSL(Discipleship, Storying and Leadership) this coming Thursday. The group will be continuing to learn stories from the gospel of Mark and use those as disciplship and evangelism tools. Pray for Billy as he will be traveling alone again. (Nick Strong left Arua this past week and after a couple of weeks in Kampala will return to the states mid-June.)
Also, we are in communication regularly about the possibilities in Sudan and even Congo now! Billy hopes to make a survey trip to Congo in late July. Some of you may remember that two such trips ended up canceling at the last minute previously, so we are praying if this is the time and Jesus wants us to go forward, that He really will level the mountains and raise up the valleys. Also, we are trusting Jesus to go before us in Sudan! Hopefully we will all travel there in August with Joy Phillips, our only other WGM colleague working in Southern Sudan.
