perspective

I recently read a book by Corrie ten Boom.
She quotes a Chinese proverb we have hung beside our bed in America.

"I complained because I had no shoes;
Then I saw a man without feet and I complained no more."

It's SO MUCH EASIER for us to keep perspective on reality when we live at "home-home" in Arua.  We actually meet these people...we see REAL need on a daily basis.
It's SO EASY here in the states, to actually think we NEED some things, that are utterly wonderful and happy love gifts, but totally UNECESSARY LUXURIES!

We just wanted to pass along the proverb to remind you as we remind ourselves to SEEK HIM FIRST and HIS KINGDOM...all He knows we truly need is added!
We indeed are rich in HIM!

Grateful to be in America awaiting our two new little ladies and learning more of God's goodness.
We hope many of you can join us this weekend at WGM in Wilmore for another
Hallelujah! Praise Jesus Party!
We have SO MUCH to be grateful for!!!

Just recently started following your blog as I have a heart for Africa. I'm an MK from zambia and married a Zimbabwean. Then I read your post today and saw you are in Wilmore! My father was from there and he lives in Lexington now! Anyway, Wilmore struck a chord! May God bless.
